Isn’t it wonderful how the smallest actions can leave the biggest impression?
My wife and I stayed in the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow last week, and when we left I realised I’d left behind the charging station for my Switch…
So, of course, I got straight on the phone and they said they’d look for it then I could pay for postage over the phone and get it send it back to me.
Fast forward a few days and I phoned to check up on progress and got told they’d already sent it and didn’t want payment for the shipping.
Now it’s got to have been under £10 to post it but even still, it’s a small action they didn’t have to do. I was happy to pay the postage because it was my fault, but the concierge spoke to his boss and they took care of it.
And now? I’m way more inclined to go back and stay, I’ll be checking the price of there before anywhere else next time I’m passing through and will only have nice things to say.
Such a small action but it’s small kindnesses that leave an impression.
